Heavenly Father, You created the Church as a place of fellowship and growth, as well as a refuge. That has not been my experience—quite the opposite. And yet, I want to be healed so I can trust again. If anyone knows rejection and betrayal, it’s You. So, I ask that You heal these wounds inflicted by the Church in my life. You are near to the brokenhearted, and You bind up our wounds.1 I thank You for Your mercy and compassion as You remind us that You are the God who bore our sins on the Cross, that we might die to sin and live to righteousness. By Your wounds, we are healed.2
Lord, please restore health to our souls and heal every wound inflicted by those who may have mis-represented Your love. You promised, “I will restore health to you, and your wounds I will heal, declares the Lord”.3 Heal us, O Lord, and we shall be healed; save us, and we shall be saved, for You alone are our praise.4
Father, we acknowledge that Christ was pierced for our transgressions, and crushed for our iniquities. Upon Him was the punishment that brought us peace, and with His wounds, we are healed.5 Where our spirits have been crushed by harsh words or actions, we ask for a joyful heart that is good medicine.6 We pray that Your power would lift us up from our places of hurt and restore us to full health.7
Reveal to us the abundance of prosperity and security that comes through Your healing touch.8 As we choose to listen to Your voice and walk in obedience, remind us that You are our healer.9 Father, we declare in faith that we will be in good health as our souls prosper.10 In the name of Jesus, we forgive those who hurt us, and we pray for healing to come not just to ourselves but to all who need Your touch. We know that the prayer of faith will save and heal.11 Thank You for redeeming our lives and crowning us with steadfast love and mercy.12
