Lord Jesus, the chains of my cult involvement still feel attached. I need You to free me even more. Your Word warns about false prophets who lead people astray, well, I was one who was lead astray. I realize that I’ve been caught in the web of their destructive heresies.1 I ask Your help and guidance as You lead me out of this darkness. Help me learn to discern the spirits and not to believe every teaching that claims to be from You.2
I desire to abide firmly in the teachings of Christ, clinging to the truth that brings life, and to reject any doctrine that strays from Your Word.3 May I heed the warnings of Paul, watching out for divisive teachings that do not serve You but rather lead to confusion and distress.4
As I break free from these influences, guide me away from mediums and false practices that seek to unravel my faith.5 I trust that You will deliver me, just as You promised in Ezekiel, tearing away the lies that have held me captive.6 I declare my intent to distance myself from manipulation that has clouded my judgment and use Your word which is sharper than a double-edged sword7; may it pierce through the darkness and reveal the truth I so desperately seek.
Grant me discernment to recognize healthy teachings and the strength to resist the allure of wrong paths. Help me to cultivate a life rooted in the fruits of Your Spirit rather than in deceitful doctrine. Remind me to keep my heart anchored in Your truth as I move forward in healing and restoration. I choose to embrace my newfound freedom, trusting fully in Your guidance and love. Thank You for being my refuge and for the promise of transformation, in Jesus’ name, I pray. Amen.
