Lord, we are going to grow closer and closer as we walk together with this incurable disease. I certainly don’t like where I am, but I vow to cling to Your promises. I long for Your healing touch, but am also aware that healing me may not be a part of Your plan for me. Your Word reminds me that death is a part of life, but it does not define my existence; rather, my hope lies in You, who wipes away every tear and brings comfort.1 I express my grief to You, asking for Your strength to cope with the challenges I face.
Lord, while my condition feels overwhelming, I find solace in knowing that Your grace is sufficient for me. Even in my weakness, I believe Your power is made perfect.2 Help me to view this struggle as an opportunity for growth, trusting that suffering produces endurance, character, and hope.3 I long to cultivate a resilient spirit that shines Your light even in dark times. I ask for healing, if it is Your will, but I also recognize that every moment I endure is for Your glory. I surrender my fears into Your hands, knowing that Your plans for me are good and filled with hope.4 Teach me how to live each day with purpose, regardless of my circumstances.
Help me, Lord, to keep my eyes fixed on You. You are the way, the truth, and the life.56 May Your spirit refresh me and guide me as I navigate the uncertainties of my illness and let me find my identity in being Your child, beloved and cherished.7 Remind me to remain steadfast in prayer and to seek the support of my brothers and sisters in Christ, knowing that we are called to bear one another’s burdens.8
Thank You for Your unending love and compassion. I trust that You are with me, holding me in Your righteous right hand. Help me to embrace Your peace and give me the strength to face each new day. Amen.
