Faith (Lack of)

Heavenly Father, I come to You today asking for an increase in my faith. Your Word tells me that without faith, it is impossible to please You, and I desire to draw nearer to You, believing that You exist and that You reward those who diligently seek You.1 Lord, I know that even faith as small as a mustard seed can move mountains,2 but there are moments when my faith feels weak. I echo the cry in Scripture, “I believe; help my unbelief!”.3

Forgive me for the times when I’ve doubted Your power and promises, just as Peter did when he began to sink in the water. Yet, You reached out and saved him, reminding him that faith conquers fear.4 Help me to trust You more and not be swayed by the storms of life, for You are able to calm the winds and the waves.5

Teach me to walk by faith and not by sight, for faith is the assurance of things hoped for, and the conviction of things not seen.6 Strengthen me to trust in Your provision, knowing that if You care for the grass of the field, how much more will You provide for me.7 In moments of doubt, remind me that faith comes by hearing, and hearing through Your Word.8

Lord, I ask in faith, without doubting, for I know that when I do, I am like a wave tossed by the wind.9 Let my faith be steadfast, unwavering, and anchored in Your truth. I thank You that by Your grace, I have been saved through faith, not by my own works, but as a gift from You.10 May my life reflect the faith that pleases You, and may I trust You deeply each day. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
