Father, God, I know that You bring peace—it’s who You are. But right now, I’m very afraid, and not just now, but often I’m overcome with fear. But I’m here… right now because You said, You are my refuge and strength, a present help in trouble.1 In moments of uncertainty, I ask for Your divine help to overcome fear, trusting in Your promises.
Your Word reminds me that You go before me and will not leave or forsake me.2 Help me cast my anxieties on You, for You care for me.3 Let this truth bring peace to my soul, and may I rest in Your care. Thank You, Lord, for the spirit of power, love, and self-control, not of fear.4 In moments of fear, remind me that Your perfect love casts out all fear.5 When I fear the uncertainties of life or the opinions of others, let me trust in You. I know that whoever trusts in You is safe.6
When I am afraid, I will put my trust in You,7 for You have promised to answer me and deliver me from all my fears.8 I trust in Your faithfulness, knowing You will be with me in trouble and show me Your salvation.9
Help me to live free from the love of money, content with what I have, for You have promised, “I will never leave you nor forsake you”. Because of this, I can say with confidence, “The Lord is my helper; I will not fear; what can man do to me?”10 Teach me not to be anxious but to bring everything to You in prayer with thanksgiving. I trust that Your peace, which surpasses understanding, will guard my heart and mind.11 Thank You for being my shield and reward. I place my trust in Your promises and Your care. In Jesus name. Amen.
