Fear (of not going to Heaven)

Heavenly Father, I know that faith and not works opens the doors of Your kingdom. But there are times when I just feel like I’m not doing enough. This scripture sometimes gets me worrying, Not everyone who calls You “Lord” will enter the Kingdom, but only those who do Your will.1

Help me to understand that You have called me to fear only You, the One who holds my soul in His hands.2 And that I am saved by grace through faith, not by my own works, so that I cannot boast.3 Thank You for the gift of salvation through Jesus, who is the Way, the Truth, and the Life.4

Strengthen me so that my heart may rest in Your promise of eternal life.5 Holy Spirit, continually remind me that I am a child of God and an heir with Christ.6

Help me to trust that You are working in me, refining my character and guiding me to bear fruit that reflects my faith. Let my life reflect a balance of faith and works, not to earn salvation, but as evidence of my relationship with You.7 Remind me that as I work out my salvation, I can do so with reverence, not fear, for Your love casts out fear.8

Lord, help me to run the race with endurance, keeping my eyes on the crown of righteousness that You promise to those who love You.9 May my heart find comfort in knowing that, as I follow You and seek to love and obey You, You are faithful to fulfill Your promise of eternal life.10 Thank You, Father, for the assurance that those who conquer in You will be called Your children and will inherit the kingdom You have prepared.11 In Jesus’ name, I pray. Amen.
