Father, watching the news every day would be one way of cultivating fear. It’s very frightening. More and more my faith feels small, and even though I know You’re in control, I need to be close to You to fully know that is the case. Here’s where I generally have a good start and gradually taper off. Help me believe that nothing is impossible when I trust in you.1
Your Word says that faith comes by hearing, and I believe that with you all things are possible.2 You’ve promised that as I submit to you and resist the devil, he will flee.3 I stand on this promise knowing that you empower me to overcome every challenge. I am crucified with Christ, and it’s no longer I who live, but Christ living in me.4
Help me walk by faith and not by sight.5 Trusting in your unseen work, Lord. Fill me with joy and peace in believing through the power of the Holy Spirit.6 I confess with my mouth and believe in my heart that Jesus is Lord,7 and I know I’m saved by this faith. Strengthen my belief and help my unbelief.8 You’ve created the heavens and the Earth, and nothing is too difficult for you.9
Even in suffering, I place my hope in you. Help me seek your kingdom first, knowing that you will provide everything I need to guide my paths, Lord, and help me trust in Your plans.10 Over my own understanding. I lay aside every weight and sin and run with endurance, the race before me keeping my eyes on Jesus, the author and perfecter of my faith.11 I meditate on Your Word, trusting You to make my way prosperous.12 Thank you for your faithfulness, for your kingdom endures forever.13 I place my faith in you, the way, the truth and the life. Help me live out my faith boldly, knowing you are with me every step of the way. In Jesus name.
