Heavenly Father, Your Word says I’m forgiven, You say it over and over, but I see all my failures, even unforgiveness. Help me start fresh, knowing that I am forgiven and desire to forgive others. Your Word calls me to be kind, tenderhearted, and forgiving, just as You have forgiven me through Christ.1 I so want to accept Your gift and extend that grace to others.
Lord, I confess my sins to You, trusting that You are faithful and just to forgive me and to cleanse me from all unrighteousness.2 Help me to release any bitterness or resentment in my heart, for I know that if I forgive others, You will also forgive me.3 Teach me to forgive as You have commanded, even when it feels difficult.4
You remind me that love covers all offenses.5 I want to follow the example of Jesus, who prayed, “Father, forgive them, for they know not what they do”.6 May my heart be filled with compassion and mercy toward others, just as Yours is toward me.
Thank You, Lord, for removing my sins as far as the east is from the west.7 Let me not hold onto the guilt or shame of my past, for in Christ, I am made new.8 Strengthen my faith and help me to walk in the freedom of Your forgiveness, leaving behind any burden of regret.
Father, may I extend grace and kindness, forgiving those who have wronged me, just as You have forgiven my countless transgressions.9 Thank You for the redemption I have through Christ, for the power of His blood to cleanse and renew.10 Help me to walk in peace, knowing that Your love and mercy cover me completely, in Jesus’ name, I pray. Amen.
