Identity Issues (Struggling With)

Father, I really don’t fully know who I am. My identity seems entangled and lacks direction. So, I’m looking at Your word for direction. You created me in Your image, and I know that I was made to reflect Your love to the world’. You said that I am fearfully and wonderfully made, and I ask that You help me grow in love, seeing myself and others as You see me?

Father, You knew me even before I was formed, and You have set a purpose over my life’. These three scriptures pretty clearly declare that I’m somebody to You, and that You know me. Let my life be a testament to the love of Christ within me.1 Transform me, Lord, by the renewal of my mind so that I may discern what is good and pleasing to You.2

Your Word tells me that I am a chosen child, called out of darkness and into Your marvelous light.3 As I purpose to follow Your light, make me a new creation in You each day, shedding any remnants of my old ways and embracing the fullness of life You offer’. I lean on Your strength, Lord, for I know I cannot do this on my own.4 Remind me that my life is hidden with Christ in God, that I am safe and secure in Your love.5 As Your child, You have called me to walk in love and to glorify You in all that I do.6 Let my life reflect the love of Christ so brightly that others are drawn to You.

You have redeemed me and called me by name, claiming me as Your own.7 May this identity empower me to be a vessel of love, sharing the grace, kindness, and compassion that You have freely given me. Strengthen me in Your love, Lord, and let it overflow to everyone I encounter, in Jesus’ name, I pray.
