Father, We come before You with hearts full of reverence, acknowledging Your everlasting covenant with Israel.1 “You are the God who never sleeps nor slumbers, and Your eyes are always upon Jerusalem.”2 As we meditate on Your Word, we are reminded of the importance of standing in the gap for the land and people You have chosen.3
Lord, we lift up Your Word, where You have set watchmen on the walls of Jerusalem, calling them to never hold their peace day or night.4 We ask You, Father, to raise up a generation of watchmen—those who will stand up for Israel with unwavering faithfulness. Let them be steadfast in their prayers, giving You no rest until You establish Jerusalem as a praise in the Earth.5
We remember Your command to pray for the peace of Jerusalem. Stir the hearts of Your people around the world to heed this call, knowing that those who love her will prosper.6 Father, as Isaiah declared for Zion’s sake, we will not hold our peace, and for Jerusalem’s sake, we will not rest.7 Ignite a holy zeal in Your people, driving them to stand boldly in prayer and advocacy for Israel’s protection and spiritual awakening.
You sought for someone to stand in the gap on behalf of the land. Lord, raise up intercessors who will stand before You, pleading for mercy and protection over Israel.8 As Paul expressed, it is our heart’s desire and prayer that Israel may be saved.9 Pour out the Spirit of grace and supplication upon the house of David, as promised,10 in Jesus’ name.
