Heavenly Father, I’ll come to the point. I am weighed down and empty. You know why, but please restore my joy by reminding me of who I am in You and fill me with joy through the power of the Holy Spirit, that I may abound in hope even in difficult times.1
Help me, Lord, to rejoice in You always, no matter my circumstances.2 When I face trials, teach me to count it all joy, knowing that the testing of my faith produces steadfastness.3 In Your presence is fullness of joy. I seek to dwell there, finding pleasure at Your right-hand forever.4
Jesus, You promised that when I ask in Your name, I will receive, so that my joy may be full.5 Let Your joy be in me and make my joy complete.6 I thank You for the fruit of the Spirit, which includes joy; help me to cultivate this fruit in my life as I walk in Your Spirit.7
Lord, remind me that a joyful heart is good medicine, and that joy can bring healing to my soul.8 Even when I face sorrow, I trust that no one can take away the joy You give me.9 The joy of the Lord is my strength, and I hold onto that strength as I navigate my challenges.10
This is the day that You have made, and I will choose to rejoice and be glad in it.11 Though I may weep for a night, I believe that joy comes in the morning.12 Thank You, God, for being with me and for bringing joy to my heart. Help me to rejoice with others and to find joy even in the simplest of moments.13 Lord, I lift my spirit to You. Fill me with inexpressible and glorious joy that comes from knowing and loving You.14 In Jesus’ name, I pray. Amen.
