Father God, I am continually made aware that I need more love and compassion for others. Your Word teaches that true love is patient and kind, not envious or boastful, not arrogant or rude, and does not insist on its own way.1 This is exactly what I desire; to love more like You, because You are the source of all love. If I am to truly love others, I must know You more intimately.2 I pray that Your love, poured into my heart by the Holy Spirit, fills me completely, banishing fear and selfishness.3 Let my love be genuine, not just in word, but in action and truth.4 Teach me to love earnestly, covering any offenses with grace and forgiveness.5 Father, help me to bind everything together in love, knowing it brings harmony and unity.6
I ask that my love for others will grow in knowledge and depth of insight.7 In moments when it is challenging to love, remind me to approach each person with humility, gentleness, and patience, bearing with them in love.8
Dwell in my heart and root me deeply in Your love. Help me to comprehend its vastness and to be filled with all the fullness of God.9 Let my life produce the fruit of the Spirit—love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, and self-control.10 May the love of Christ compel me to put others above myself and act out of compassion .11
Teach me to love sincerely, to hold fast to what is good, and to outdo others in showing honor.12 Let me love others as You have loved me, that I may reflect Your light in this world.13 I desire to fulfill Your commandment to love You with all my heart, soul, and mind, and to love my neighbor as myself.14 Thank You, Lord, for the power of Your love, which covers all offenses and transforms hearts.15 May my heart overflow with love each day as I strive to serve You.
