Marriage Breakup (Need Restored)

Jesus, You absolutely know our situation, that we need restoration in our marriage. You are the Master Healer. I ask that You breathe new life into our relationship. Teach us to love one another as Christ loved the Church, with a sacrificial and unconditional love.1 Help us to submit to one another out of reverence for Christ, creating an atmosphere of mutual respect, love, and honor in our home.2

Father, where trust has been broken, I ask for healing. Your Word says that love bears all things, believes all things, hopes all things, and endures all things.3 Fill our hearts with this kind of love, one that is patient, kind, and forgiving. Help us to remember that we are one flesh, joined together by You, and let us hold fast to each other through every challenge.4 Lord, I ask that You remove any fear in our marriage, for Your perfect love casts out all fear.5 May we be quick to listen, slow to speak, and slow to become angry, allowing Your peace to rule in our hearts.6

Grant us the wisdom to focus on whatever is true, honorable, just, pure, lovely, and commendable, so that our thoughts and actions towards one another reflect Your character.7

I pray that I would be a spouse who does good and not harm all the days of my life, someone in whom my spouse can trust fully.8 Help us both to cherish and nourish each other as we would our own bodies, recognizing that in doing so, we honor You.9 Restore the joy, intimacy, and oneness in our marriage, Lord. Let our relationship reflect Your love for the church, and may we always seek to glorify You in how we treat one another.10 In Jesus’ name, I pray. Amen.
