Heavenly Father, managing my money is not my strong suit, but neither are other things in my life. Can You please help me? Your Word that says that the rich rule over the poor, and the borrower becomes a slave to the lender1 is distressing and yet inspires me to break free from my bad habits. Help me recognize my responsibilities and be a good steward of the resources You have entrusted to me.
Jesus, You remind us that we cannot serve two masters and that devotion to money can lead us away from You.2 I repent for my irresponsibility and please teach me balance. Help me to have the faith of a faithful man who abounds with blessings, resisting the temptation to hasten to be rich.3
Your Word also says that precious treasure is found in a wise man’s dwelling, while a foolish man devours what he has.4 I desire to be wise in my financial matters, to gather little by little, knowing that consistent diligence leads to increase.5
Please align my heart with Your will, so I may leave an inheritance for future generations.6 Lord, help me be generous, remembering that when I give, it will be given to me.7 Instill in me a bountiful eye that shares with the poor.8 I want to gather wealth through Your blessings, knowing that they add no sorrow.9
As I strive to manage my finances well, let me also remember to count the cost of my decisions.10 I pray for discipline and foresight in all things, so I can provide for my household and truly reflect Your love and care. Thank You, Lord, for Your patience and guidance. I surrender my financial stresses to You, trusting in Your faithfulness, in Jesus’ name, Amen.
