Heavenly Father, I come before You with a heart full of reverence and gratitude, lifting up the city of Jerusalem in prayer. Your Word instructs us to pray for the peace of Jerusalem, and so I ask, Lord, that You bless this city with Your divine protection and peace. Let those who love her be secure and may peace dwell within her walls and security within her towers.1
You have declared that Jerusalem is a city bound firmly together, a place where the tribes of Israel come to give thanks to Your name.2 May this sacred unity be restored and strengthened and may the people who gather there experience Your presence like never before.
Lord, You have promised to return to Zion and dwell in the middle of Jerusalem, calling her the faithful city and the holy mountain.3 We hold fast to this promise, longing for the day when Your presence will fill every corner of this city, and Your glory will reign supreme.
We acknowledge that Jerusalem has faced many challenges, yet You have set her in the center of the nations as a witness to Your greatness.4 I ask that You protect her from all who seek her harm and that You turn every scheme of the enemy into an opportunity for Your power to be revealed. Father, as we look toward the new Jerusalem, the city that will come down from heaven, prepared as a bride adorned for her husband,5 we are filled with hope. May Jerusalem reflect this eternal city, where righteousness dwells and where You will dwell with Your people forever.6
For the sake of my brothers and sisters, and for the sake of Your house, I seek the good of Jerusalem. Let her be a city of peace, joy, and restoration, where Your name is glorified, and Your will is done. Amen.
