Jesus, You know full well the dilemma of my sexual drives; after all You created them! You also know that the enemy has twisted Your intent into a journey of shame and condemnation, and pornography is one of his main weapons. I know Your Word says that even looking at someone with lustful intent is like committing adultery in my heart.1 I admit my shortcomings in this area and ask for Your forgiveness, trusting that You are faithful and just to cleanse me from all unrighteousness.2
Lord, You call me to run from sexual immorality because this sin is not just against my body but against You, my Creator.3 Your desire for me is sanctification, to be set apart for You—living in holiness, not consumed by lust.4 Please help me live according to that calling, controlling my body in a way that honors You, not giving in to sinful desires.5
Today, I make a promise with my eyes to avoid anything that leads me into temptation.6 Help me, Lord, to walk by Your Spirit so I don’t gratify the desires of the flesh.7 Teach me to run from youthful lusts and instead chase after righteousness, faith, love, and peace, alongside others who call on You from a pure heart.8
I understand that temptation comes from my own desires, which can lead to sin and eventually to destruction.9 Help me see the situations that lead me into temptation and avoid them. Let me make no room for the flesh.10 I choose to set nothing worthless before my eyes and reject the darkness that tries to trap me.11 Thank You, Father, for Your promise that no temptation will overcome me beyond what I can handle. You will always provide a way out.12 Open my eyes to those escape routes and give me the courage to take them. In Jesus’ name, I pray, Amen.
