Father, I am weighed down by regret, and my unending willingness to blame myself and others. But today, right now, I lay myself and my burdens at Your feet, asking that You would restore my peace and right thinking. I desire to release the past, to forget what lies behind, and to strain forward to what lies ahead.1 Grant me the grace to press on toward the goal of Your upward call in Christ Jesus.2
Father, I confess my sins before You, trusting in Your promise that if we confess our sins, You are faithful and just to forgive us and cleanse us from all unrighteousness.3 Help me to truly repent and turn away from anything that holds me back from walking in the fullness of Your grace and love. Let me not dwell on the former things but rather embrace the new thing You are doing in my life.4
Lord, I ask for Your divine wisdom to guard my heart and mind against the accusations and lies of the enemy. Let me be sober-minded and watchful, knowing that the devil prowls around like a roaring lion, seeking to devour.5 Fill me with the assurance that all things work together for good for those who love You and are called according to Your purpose.6
Father, I pray for peace to reign in my heart. As Jesus promised, I claim the peace that He left with us—a peace that surpasses all understanding, not as the world gives, but as You give.7 Help me to rest in that peace, trusting that even though weeping may tarry for the night, joy comes with the morning.8 Thank You, Lord, for Your unfailing love and faithfulness.
Strengthen me to fight the good fight, to finish the race, and to keep the faith.9 Let me live each day in the light of Your grace, free from the chains of worry, regret, and blame, in Jesus’ name, I pray. Amen.
