Father, I come before You with humility and honesty. You know every thought, desire, temptation, and struggle in my life. Nothing is hidden from Your sight. Lord, I confess that I am vulnerable to desires that are contrary to Your will. These desires involve lust, impurity, same-sex attraction, and longings that draw my heart away from You. I ask for Your mercy, forgiveness, and transforming grace.12
Lord, help me guard my heart, for it is the wellspring of life.3 Teach me to make a covenant with my eyes and mind, refusing to dwell on thoughts that lead me away from purity and obedience.4 When temptation comes, help me recognize it early and turn to You before it gains a foothold.5 Give me the wisdom and courage to flee situations, influences, relationships, and habits that weaken my devotion to Christ.67
Thank You that no temptation I face is uncommon and that You are faithful to always provide a way of escape.8 Strengthen me to immediately take that safe escape route away from this temptation. Fill me afresh with Your Holy Spirit so that I may walk in Your power and not fulfill the desires of the my flesh.9 Renew my mind through Your Word and transform my thinking until I increasingly desire what You desire.10 Help me fix my thoughts on whatever is true, noble, pure, lovely, and praiseworthy.11
Father, remind me that my identity is not found in my temptations, feelings, or struggles, but in Jesus Christ. Produce in me the fruit of the Spirit, especially purity and self-control.1213 Let my love for You grow stronger than every competing desire. Shape my heart to reflect Your goodness and Your design for my life. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
