Heavenly Father, Your Word tells me to submit to You, resist the devil, and he will flee.1 For some reason that doesn’t always happen, as the battle often rages inside of me. Nevertheless, I trust in Your promise, Lord, that though the enemy comes to steal, kill, and destroy, You have come to give me life abundantly.2 You are my refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble.3 Though the enemy prowls like a roaring lion, seeking whom he may devour,4 I will stand firm in faith, knowing that You have overcome the world and given me peace.5
Lord, equip me with the full armor of God, so that I may withstand the schemes of the devil. I know that my battle is not against flesh and blood, but against spiritual forces of evil.6 Help me take up the shield of faith, extinguishing all the fiery darts of the wicked one.7
I declare Your truth, Father, that I am more than a conqueror through Christ who loves me.8 Nothing—neither death, life, angels, rulers, or powers—can separate me from Your love.9 I ask for Your protection, as You command Your angels concerning me, to guard me in all my ways.10
The angel of the Lord encamps around those who fear Him and delivers them.11 Strengthen me to stand firm, knowing that You have disarmed rulers and authorities, triumphing over them in Christ.12 You have given me the victory through Jesus, and I overcome by the blood of the Lamb and the word of my testimony.13 Thank You for Your constant presence and assurance that You will never leave me nor forsake me.14 Amen.
