Suffered Greatly

Lord, I’ve had a tough time with my suffering. But I want to come before you with a heart of gratitude and willingness to get over it. Your Word reminds me to count it all joy when I face trials of various kinds, knowing that these tests produce steadfastness in my faith.1 Help me, Lord, to find joy even in my pain, understanding that You are molding me into a vessel of enduring strength and character.

I know all who desire to live a godly life will face persecution,2 yet I cling to the promise of peace that comes from You amid the tribulations of this world.3 When I feel overwhelmed, remind me that I am not alone in my suffering, for You have promised to wipe away tears and away mourning, crying, and pain forever.4

Thank You for the assurance that after I have suffered for a little while, You will restore me and establish me.5 Help me to hold onto hope, knowing that the sufferings of this present time are not worth comparing with the glory that will be revealed to me.6 I trust that all things work together for good for those who love You,7 and I lean into that promise during my hardships.

As I navigate through these challenges, help me to be steadfast under trial. I want to be blessed with the crown of life that You have promised to those who love You.8 Remind me, too, that many are the afflictions of the righteous, but You deliver us from them all.9 May I rejoice in my sufferings, knowing that they produce endurance, character, and hope in my life.10

Lord, grant me the courage to share in the sufferings of Christ, that I may truly know Him and grow in likeness to Him.11 Help me to bear the burdens of others, fulfilling the law of Christ through love.12 As I seek to understand the purpose behind my suffering, fill me with Your grace, guiding me toward healing and restoration. In Jesus’ name, I pray, Amen.
