Jesus, I so want to be strong and not give in to the temptations that often loom in my life. The enemy knows my soft spots, and yielding to them draws my attention from You and away from Your best. Your Word assures me that no temptation is unique to me; others have faced it, too, and You are faithful to provide a way of escape.1 Help me to recognize those escape routes when they come and to remember to pray as Jesus taught, asking You to lead me not into temptation but to deliver me from evil.2 I feel the spirit’s willingness in my heart, but I recognize the weakness of my flesh.3 Grant me strength to resist the urge to give in; when I resist the devil, may he flee from me. Every day, may I find refuge in Your presence.4
I’m grateful that You understand my struggles, Jesus. You faced every temptation I faced, yet without sin. Because of that, You can empathize with my weaknesses.5 When I falter, remind me that it is not too late to rise again. Those who covet riches often fall into traps and senseless desires.6 Help me focus on what truly matters, finding contentment in You rather than in earthly things.
Strengthen my resolve to remain steadfast under trial.7 May I see trials as opportunities for growth, knowing that each test refines my faith and brings me closer to completeness.8 Help me to count these challenges as a joy; that through them You are shaping my character and leading me to a deeper understanding of Your love. Lord, I rejoice in the knowledge that You are always ready to rescue those who are faithful.9 Please remind me to be vigilant and prayerful, keeping my eyes fixed on You. In moments of weakness, I turn to You for strength, assurance, and peace. Thank You for Your relentless love and grace in my life. I trust in Your promises and seek to walk in Your ways, in Jesus’ name, I pray.
