Thankful

Dear Jesus, I want to tell You “Thank You!” Every breath is a gift, so I need to look up and not at my many problems. Your Word teaches me to give thanks always, and for everything, to God the Father in Your name.1 I am deeply grateful for Your continual presence in my life. Today especially, I felt Your hand on me and my situation. I want to be better at expressing my gratitude, knowing that this is Your will for me.2

I acknowledge that my heart is too often drawn to worry, but Your promise encourages me to bring all my requests to God with thanksgiving.3 Thank You for teaching me to turn my anxieties into prayers, and for the peace that follows as I trust You. I’m reminded of Psalm 103, which urges me to bless You and remember all Your benefits.4

Today, I experienced Your goodness and felt the reassurance of Your response to my prayers. I thank You for moments of joy, the support of friends and family, and even for trials that help me grow. Yes, I thank You for the trials because I know You are teaching me to trust You. Your steadfast love endures forever, especially in the trials, and I praise You for it.5

As I move forward, I desire to honor You in every word and deed, giving thanks to God the Father through You.6 Help me to let the peace of Christ rule in my heart, reminding me that I am called to be part of one body, the body of Christ.7 May my heart overflow with thankfulness, not only now but always.

Lord, grant me strength to continue in prayer, being watchful and thankful.8 I enter Your gates with thanksgiving and Your courts with praise, joyfully acknowledging Your goodness and mercy.9 Thank You for being my constant support. I am grateful for Your love, guidance, and refuge. May my life reflect this gratitude daily as I strive to serve You. In Your holy name, Amen.
